Planning

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the White Lake Township Planning Department webpage.  The Planning Department was created in 1996, to coordinate growth and guide development and redevelopment in the Township.  Over the years, the Planning Department has grown and expanded its role, and now provides services in a multitude of Planning and Recreational functions.

Here in the Planning Department, we are responsible for coordinating and providing staff support for the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.  We are charged with the enforcement and maintenance of Zoning Ordinance #58 - and Grading Ordinance #88, as well as the implementation of the Land Use Master Plan. Additionally, the Planning Department is responsible for processing and reviewing all rezoning requests, site plan applications, special land use permits, and private road applications.  We also oversee the completion of the required site construction and documentation for all of the development projects within the Township to ensure compliance.
