Welcome to the Assessing Department

The Assessing Department is responsible for identifying and valuing all taxable real and personal property in White Lake Township. We annually produce the ad valorem real and personal property assessment rolls in accordance with Michigan’s General Property Tax Laws. There are approximately 12,300 real property parcels and about 530 personal property parcels.

  • The estimated response time to public inquiries is within 2 business days. 

 

  • A taxpayer may arrange a meeting with the Township’s Assessor or a member of the Assessing Department staff by calling the main phone number 248-698-3300 x 3 during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

 

  • A taxpayer may request copies of their records either by phone or in person during normal business hours. Requests for additional information should be made through a Freedom of Information Act request through the Township Supervisor’s office. 

 

  • A taxpayer may request an informal meeting with the Township’s Assessor or Assessing Department staff prior to the March Board of Review during normal business hours by calling the main phone number at 248-698-3300 x 3.
