Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect life and property with leading edge fire/rescue and emergency medical services. We will strive for continuous improvements in safety, efficiency, innovative training, public education, professionalism, and compassionate customer service.

Founded in 1948, the White Lake Township Fire Department began as an all volunteer department, slowly evolving into a combination Career/Part-Time department.

The White Lake Township Fire Department has 24 - Full-Time/Career Firefighters including the Fire Chief and the Fire Marshal, 2 Part-Time Firefighters and 2 Cadet.

The 37 square miles of White Lake Township are covered 24-hours a day, 7-days a week by our Career personnel split between 3-shifts. Each day there's 7 Career personnel on duty. The Part-Time Firefighters support the career staff while on shift and respond to emergencies from their homes at any time of the day or night.
