WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP
The Charter Township of White Lake is accepting applications for a Building Official. The Building Official is responsible for the administrative and managerial functions of the building department. The Building Official will coordinate the operations of the Township building and inspection services. Responsibilities include enforcement of the State Construction Code Act and Township ordinances, initiate legal actions necessary for compliance with relevant ordinances and enforcement activities. The Building Official will also supervise administrative staff and inspectors in the building department.
Minimum qualifications include a minimum of 2 years college level course work with continuing education and training in building inspection, architectural engineering, code compliance or related subjects. 6 to 8 years of related professional experience required.
Current Act 54 Building Official Registration through the State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes required. Extensive knowledge of proper methods of building construction and inspection.

The salary range is $71,720 - $83,474 with a comprehensive benefit plan including medical insurance, retirement benefits and paid time off.
